The time change was brutal this morning, but powering through is the only way to combat it. Up at 7 (feels like 1 am) drinking espresso and working. Intimidated by the language barrier, Euros, and simply being abroad had me hiding in the room. I ventured out for a café latte and pointed at some pastries.

Back in the room, exploring via the web all the things I want to do here. In the afternoon, I explored again just walking aimlessly.
Wine at the hotel bar and off for dinner. Near the triangle we visited Café Gourmand which touted being a family restaurant. The bottle of Pinot was delicious and the saumon (salmon) was so simple and delicious. The lack of seasoning was refreshing as we added our own.We sat on the same side of the table and share the meal. Something they must not see a lot of because I could feel the eyes on us during this. The waitress was actual from San Jose! So we chatted with her for a few minutes. Refreshing to speak English!

Stopped at le Marche (market) for some bottled water and wine. Wandered around the city. The lights at nights are stunning.
Headed to La Comtesse – a hip little bar 2 blocks from our hotel. Tried La Diplomate – a drink with tea infused vodka and fruit that was outstanding! The tea shop across the street was closed, but a visit will be in order. . This bar was so perfect. The vibe was hip, but comfortable.. The decor was exactly how I imagined French, but the shared bathrooms had me waiting until the hotel room…
